Recently, 4,000 survivors in the state of California filed lawsuits against the catholic church for failure to protect children. My current work is a response to child abuse by clergy. "Grace," part of a larger installation, is a series of altered, found books, filled with inkblot drawings. The books are prayer, and religious indoctrination books, originally written for children and young adults. My work has become a meditation on good and evil, what it means to be a survivor, the power of truth, and the nature of grace.
